Took account of my current collection today, and this is it minus a couple of Special Characters and adding in the Plaguebearers. How do you think this would work as a force? I'm deeply worried about how few models I have - my 2000 point Bretonnian list outnumbers it, and the characters take up a whopping 1930 points - almost half. Thoughts?

I've never played 4K before so take all my advice with a grain of salt.
The biggest problem I see with your army is that it is all over the place in terms of speed/use. This fragments your army which is always a bad idea in a small numbers army like daemons. If you want defensive drop the Slaanesh elements in favor of more nurgle, if you want offensive drop the nurgle and embrace more slaanesh/khorne/tzeentch.
#1. Too many points in Heros and Lords. At 4K I would actually consider brining in a DP as a hard hitting specialist/assasin support lord. Think about trading out the BT for an unmarked DP with Wings and Many Arms or Wings and Etherblade or ASF and Many Armed...you get the idea. A very choppy and mobile support Lord rather than a fullblown GD. This should save you around 150-200 points and in such a large army a non-large target winged prince should have plenty of places to hide.
#2. Get a Jugger for your HoK. Trade Many Armed HoS for a Torment Blade and Siren Song HoS.
#3. Shave a Herald or specialize. If you want magic then have 2 HoT, if you want CC punch run 2 HoK. Right now this 'one of everything' you have going is weakening your list.
#4. I would not run MoS on your Lord of Change. He already knows all of the Tzeentch spells which makes him an offensive magic powerhouse. If you want to use a different lore for support get an MoS HoT.
#1. Focus your list. What is that block of PB's going to do when the rest of your army runs forward to get the charge while your PB's sit and wait for it to come to them? I personally would drop this elements entirely -or- you should have at least a second large block of PB's to form a solid line.
#2. Furies! These guys are the swiss army knife of a Daemons list and you don't have any. 2 to 3 squads of 5 is almost a minimum for this size list. You'll need them to hunt war machines and lone characters as well as march blocking.
#3. Bloodletters unit is too large. Run them in a 6x3 formation of 17+herald. These guys win with kills, not static res.
#4. Daemonettes unit needs Banner of Ecstacy so that when you Siren Song a unit into them they can hold no matter what.
#1. A third unit of Hounds would be good. If not a unit of Seekers with Siren Song Banner with a HoS with Etherblade would be a good anti-missle and heavy calvary carving unit. You need flankers to hit the sides of the blocks your troops are fighting.
#2. The Daemon army lives and breaths in its specials and your army has fewer specials than most 2K lists I see.
#1. Beast of Nurgle doesn't really have a role in the rest of your army, everything else hits harder or faster.
#2. Max your flamer unit. Ideally you would be able to run 2 units of 4 flamers to protect your army from skirmishers/fast calvary but I'm not sure how many rare slots are open in 4K so if that is not possible bump your one squad up to 6.
#3. I'm normally not a fan of Bloodcrushers, but at this points level 2-3 Crushers + a mounted HoK could provide you with a lot of needed punch in a small package. If you do this remeber your going to need at least 1 or 2 units of furies dedicated to screening them.
Refine and define your list, then I will be able to help more. Right now I'm just making general suggestions.

The only honorable options left to we combatants is seppuku or semantics...which amount to the same thing really.

How can his daemonettes use Siren Song and Banner of Ecstasy???
