Hey guys, long time no see.
I've been heavy into 40k recently what with 'ard boyz and ==My== newfound fascination with Orks and the daemons have been getting neglected.
Well, inspired by the GT results I decided to come up with a themed army to combat the min/max style that has become so prevalent. I still think it's dead 'ard, but what do I know?
Lords/Heroes (1020 )
Lord of Change-level 4, Tzeentch's Will, Power Vortex
Herald of Khorne-juggernaut, Obsidian Armor, BSB
Herald of Tzeentch-master of sorcery, winged horror
Bloodletters-18, standard, musician
Rare (210 )
The basic plan is to have the LoC flit about and magic things to death while the Bloodletters and HoK advance to find the 'ardest enemy to kill. The Horrors protect flanks, provide DD, and add some extra magical firepower. The HoT supports as needed based on his lore of choice. The furies screen, march block, redirect, terror bomb, and hunt war machines. The dogs find something and kill it. And the Flamer float about ravaging the enemy with shooting.
What do you think?

Ok, firstly, you need to get rid of individual points costs. Copyright or something...
Now the list.
It seems to be OK in each phase. Has some speed, some combat, some magic. I just don't see the punch you need. A second unit of Flesh Hounds would be great for this, but how to fit them...it's tough. You could swap LoC for BT, then play around with the Flamers. Use the BT and Herald of Tz for a couple of Spell Breakers, and the list has good magic defense, and is way more punchier in combat.
List as is: It'll work, but I do think you should prepare to get the Lord of Change into combat. 2 main combat units won't cut it.
I figured unit totals would be ok, but better safe than sorry I s'pose.
I realize I'm a bit low on unit count, but I'm not sure what I could drop to get more dogs. 5 Furies, 2 Flamers, BSB, and the Vortex would open up enough points, would that be better?
Well first, where is that Herald of Khorne going? I think you need to prepare to put him inside the Bloodletters, so you have a weird number - 16 + Herald means a block of 20, so there's two things to drop (I also recomend a Bloodhowler for this unit though)
So, I think you're propsed changes will be good ones - maybe just drop those 2 Bloodletters (unless they ARE running on their own) instead of Power Vortex, I can see you want a decent amount of magic too, and 11 PD aint too bad.
