This list is one I threw together, I put some magic in it so I have some ranged attacks before I get to the opponent. Let me know what you think, any constructive criticism is welcome.
Daemon Prince of Nurgle (Cheaper and faster than the GUO)
Level 2 wizard
2 Heralds of Nurgle
Both level 1 wizards
Both have Staff of Nurgle
2 units of 19 Plaguebearers with command
Icon of Eternal Virulence
5 Nurgling bases
Again let me know what you think
I would suggest palanquins for your Heralds, they are so good for the points. You can take out 3 Plaguebearers from each block to free up some of the points and still have the same US.
Apart from that I say give it a go and see how it works. I have not seen very many Demon Princes used and would be curious to hear how it works for you.
Sounds like a plan, I'll try to play some one tonight and tell you how it goes. Thanks
DP is fun, but a GUO is better in every scenario. Take it if you want, but it won't stack up competitively.
Epi doesn't provide the locus so you'll have to keep him with friends. I prefer a Herald w/ noxious vapors as his escort to keep him from getting charged and killed.
Staff of Nurgle should get the tally up quickly.
Palanquins are awesome.
Beasts are great for anchoring your flank, 1 per side should do.
Nurglings provide some much needed mobility and with the tally up they are scary.

I agree with the Beasts and the Nurglings.
I'm not a Deamon player, BUT They're the things that REALLY annoy my Chaos Warriors. T5 with what? 4 wounds, 5+ ward AND regenerate??? They're really good for taking the charge from big things. Even better for pinning nasty enemy units in place for you to mauaver your Plague Bearers into position.
Nurlings are great. Scouts??? OW! Brilliant if you're fighting an enemy army with shooting in it. And that ability to create more of them from your hero's is pretty nasty as well. (No idea what that ability is) They can also just stay within 8" of the enemy to stop them marching. Allowing you to get your units into position and make the most of your magic.
No idea if that helped, but hey
