Hi, i've just bought the daemon codex, and I have always been a fan of the Tzeentch deamons. so here is the first list i made:
Herald of Tzeentch, BsB, great standard of sundering, power vortex, winged horror.
Herald of Tzeentch, power vortex, winged horror.
12x Pink Horrors, icon of sorcery.
12x Pink Horrors, icon of sorcery.
I really really like that its so compact and fast moving, and with a lot of magic and firepower. But i have been reading on some forums that this type of list is a real power gamer list. and is consideret to be of bad sportsmanship. Is that the fact?
Actually, yes it is bad for sportmanship because some people are going to yell CHEESE at your army but if you want to win you'd better take some sort of these lists
You have about 10-11 pd and even with the vortexes and blue scribes sometime even for about 15 maybe more
And to make it even better get a mos on the tzeentch heral and drop a power vortex.
Screamers are fast but die to fast to shootin, so I wouldn't pick them.
Get some furies for warmachine hunting marchblocking and al sorts of annoying.
The hounds are Khorne but really good.
Fateweaver is Da Bomb!
12 flamers is just Heavy!
Oh I just see you need another core unit, maybe drop the screamers and a vortex or 1 or 2 icons of sorcery for the core unit you'd like and furies so you're sure you got the points.
Well, first off, you'll need 3 Core. I don't like minimal Core, I feel it detracts from the army.
I'd take a big block of 30 or so Horrors with Command Group and Icon of Sorcery. Add your BSB with Master of Sorcery and the Changeling for challenges and you have an awesome fighty block in what it considered a mobile, weak in HtH army.
After that, 2 small units of Horrors for dispel dice and flank protection are good.
Screamers are excellent harassment units and Flamers are always useful.
Herald BSB w/ Master of Sorcery, Banner of Unholy Victory (+D3 CR)
29 Horrors with musician, Changeling, standard w/ Icon of Sorcery
2x 10 Horrors
2x 3 Screamers
That still leaves you around 50 points for whatever you want to field.

First off, I usually consider ==Me=='s advice good as gold, so he has some good ideas for your list. As for the list itself:
You need another core. I personally don't see anything wrong with minimal core if that is the way you want to play it. I would not use the icons in units of 12 Horrors though. The unit is to small and fragile, you will be giving away VP's to your opponent. Either make a larger unit for you icon/Banner or just go naked for the extra PD and DD.
You probably do not need the Standard of Sundering with all the dice you will have. Maybe give your Heralds 1 or 2 Spell Breakers for those times when you just have to stop an opponents spell. I think that the Spell Breaker or Master of Sorcery will be more useful to your Heralds than the Power Vortex. Tzeentch Lore is not very favorable towards lev. 2 casters as flickering fire is the only spell that they can cast that is both useful and likely to go off.
The Screamers are excellent harrassment units. Just be careful because they are fragile. Flamers are also very good.
I would work with that if you are going Pure Tzeentch. If not, then Furies will add some speeed, harrassment, and war machine/wizard hunting ability to your list.
I personally do not worry about the "Cheese" or bad sportsman cries. It is usually a case of either: A) your opponent is too lazy to adapt and think of new strategies to fight you, or their army just does not stack up well against your build. This is very much a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors and lists will stack up better against some and worse against others. I believe that "overpowered" units/lists are there so that other players can learn and adapt their own strategy and grow as a gamer.
