Ok, so, I took my Khorne list (thanks again to ==Me==) against my buddies Warriors... I got worked.. hard so I thought I would try something differant. I read through my codex a bit and something popped into my head... "hmmm Nurgle looks like it could be fun to play" and here is my list please let me know if you see anything that could use work.
Great Unclean One w/ Balesword, Pestilent Mucus, and lvl 4 Wizard - 670 (pretty good all around lord in my eyes though a bit expensive)
Epidemius - can't list his points
Herald of Nurgle w/ Naxious Vapor, Nurgle's Rot, lvl 1 wizard, BSB Hellfire banner - 340
Herald of Nurgle w/ Staff of Nurgle, lvl 1 wizard - 215
Plague Bearers 17 w/ standard, plagueridden, sleeping decay icon - 263 (one Herald)
Plague Bearers 17 w/ standard, plagueridden, sleeping decay icon - 263 (other Herald)
Plague Bearers 21 w/ standard, plagueridden - 276
Chaos Furies 5 - 60
Chaos Furies 5 - 60
Nurglings 6 - 210
For a grand total of 2492 points. Any advise would be very helpful.
I think you've got the general idea, 2 units of plaguebearers for the army anvil is always the right choice, at least for an all nurgle army. Few thing's I'd change though;
1. DEFINATELY give your GuO Trappings of Nurgle, the entire point of a GuO is to be basically unkillable, and make your opponent waste all his magic, and elite units trying to bring him down, a 4+ armour save, 5+ invunerable, and 4+ regen, ensure's this wont happen.
2. Dont use furies, they're a waste of time, and since your plaguebearers are pretty slow, they wont be able to hold up your enemy for long enough. I reccomend going for a unit of blooodletters, or even Bloodcrusher's if you've got the cash. If you're still stuck on the idea of getting a unit into combat quickly, and being able to stick it out for a bit longer, use some Daemonettes.
(10 bloodletters/daemonettes, no upgrades, is 120pts, 2 Bloodcrushers is 140pts)
3.Maybe find some way to take skulltaker, he's even cheaper than your heralds (not saying replace them mind you, their regen on the plaguebearers is important) but he really is your best choice for bringing down enemy characters, even things like treemen!) Maybe lose a few upgrades from your Heralds, and use a few less Nurglings.
Try a few of these things and you should make a list that realy compliments your playing style.
Good luck =)
(GB, Ogres & Daemons)
From the looks of things you are running your Plaguebearers 6x3. If that is the case then I would drop 3 from each unit and get palanquins for your Heralds. You are losing one Plaguebearer attack and gaining 6 palanquin attacks plus it widens the base of your Herald so more opponents are affected by Noxious Vapors. Also remember that Epidemius is not a Herald so does not give his unit Regen.I would tend to disagree here. I think you will need them to pester war machines and/or lone mages. Scouting Nurglings will still take forever to get anywhere. You may want to consider splitting them into two units of 3 for more flexibility. You can always set up both units next to each other if you want to but you will have the option of setting them up in different spots as well.Dont use furies, they're a waste of time,
