G'day again LO,
Here's my plan for my 8th ed Daemons. It's looks small, but since infantry seem to be the go now, I thought I'd bulk up (plus the Horrors don't care about the miscast table). Anyway, here we go:
L - Daemon Prince (so want that flying breath weapon in 8th)
Level 1 Wizard
Breath attack gift
H - Herald of Tzeentch
Master of Sorcery (beasts i'm thinking)
C - 30x Bloodletters
FC, Banner of endless war
C - 30x Horrors
C - 8x Furies
S - 10x Flesh Hounds
R - 6x Fiends
R - 6x Flamers
TOTAL - 2294

Not really a fan of the furies, I would drop them to get a herald for you bloodletters.
Also I find Life to be amazing with a herald. Though I can not say how much fun my sacrificial herald is, I take the load out you got but death magic and then as soon as I got the option he flies into the enemy army and throws a 6d6 purple sun. He has never failed to make more than his points back even vs elf / high Init models. If done right he doesn't always get charged and die from the survivors.
