Looking for some feedback on my current Khorne/Tzeentch list, I'm open to the idea of adding units from Nurgle/Slaanesh if it would improve my game. Cheers guys.
Armour of Khorne
Axe of Khorne
Herald of Khorne ( BSB )
Armour of Khorne
Great Icon of Despair (-2 Ld)
Herald of Tzeentch
Master of Sorcery (Life)
Icon of Endless War
19 Pink Horrors
Banner of Change
5 Chaos Furies
6 Flesh Hounds of Khorne
5 Flamers of Tzeentch
Total: 2000 Points
Plan is to have the Kherald in the Bloodletters, charging down the middle of the board, and Tzerald in the Horrors, buffing my troops with Life spells and casting Dweller's Below wherever I can do the most damage. Will mostly be fighting Bretonnians hence the -2 Ld banner. Bloodthirster will stay fairly central hunting down undesirable enemy characters, Flesh Hounds on the flank, Flamers supporting my core troops with shooting and whittling down any large troop blocks. Furies are there in case I need to take out any artillery quickly.
Any ideas for tactics or improvements? Cheers folks.
I would do firestorm blade and immortal fury on the bloodthirster. Drop the furies and the pyrocaster and add more pink horrors with your extra points. Personally I don't like giving a jugger to a HoK to keep him safe as it doubles the number of models that can attack him, and doesn't add to much in the way of killing power.
- You must set fire to water or you will be extinguished.
Firestorm Blade? Why? Surely a 3+ armour save will keep him in the fight longer, he'll be wounding on 2s most of the time anyway, I can't see an extra point of strength being as good as a 3+ armour save.
Problem I have with dropping Furies is that they are a very nice and cheap unit to take out enemy warmachines, especially if my opponent has more than one, then I can send the hounds too, their Ld is crap but I doubt I'll be losing combat against a war machine crew, and can always keep them within 18" of the Bloodthirster and use his Ld.
Edit: Axe of khorne makes him a great character killer, with 7 attacks it's not likely he won't one-shot most characters.
