Hi, my brother and i have entered in an upcoming doubles comp 1000pts each. Im playing Daemons of chaos and he's taking Warriors of chaos (likely alliance) I would like some advice on my army list and any comments would be very helpful both good/bad.
Herald of Slaanesh
Herald of tzeentch Mos (lore of shadow)
The idea being this list is the tzeentch herald hides behind the horde of daemonettes and casts mindrazor/debuffs the enemies troops. The 2 units of 3 flamers protect flanks and kill monsters with regeneration e.g. hellpits and hydras. The Herald of slaanesh buffs the horde block giving ASF. I have a few points left over, maybe i could add a siren song.. not
My brothers Warriors of chaos list will look something like this.
Sorcerer lvl 2 or 3 (hero lvl or lord, not sure yet)
Exalted Hero BSB (maybe he could do with protection?)frenzy banner
mark of khorne & great weapons (these will go horde)
Halberdsmark of nurgle (BSB will go here)
mark of tzeentch
This is roughly what he is taking. Not sure on magic items yet, if any.The basic plan here is to fill out some numbers and units my army lacks and use the warhounds to redirect/warmachine hunt. The unit of 18 chaos warriors has frenzy from the banner and mark of nurgle effectively giving 2 useful marks. The 40 marauder block should be powerhouse in combat. The wizard takes lore of Death for character sniping/Doom and Darkness to break a steadfast block in combat with our hordes. We should be able to take on most armies. Again, any tips here would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of things:
First, i always like khorne better in smaller armies, especially with warriors of chaos as the second army. My tactics with them are to run my bloodletters up first, getting into combat and ripping throught units. They usually die, but what do you expect from t3, and they weaken the army's strongest unit. Also a herald of khorne is a hero-killer and if they refuse to challenge, attack him with any bloodletters in base to base and chop his head off that way. What is left is a weak/dead power unit (most people take them now, loaded with a hero/lord) and the rest of supporting army. The warriors move up and preform clean up, killing smaller units and what is left over.
Second, i would suggest the lore of light. Yes, not exactly the first lore that comes to mind when playing daemons, but it really helps. I had my bloodletters last game WS 10, I10 being hit on 6+, and the best spell is double movement, always strike first and +1 attack. This means either 90 daemonette or chaos warrior attacks, or 60 bloodletter or marauder attacks with re-roll miss hits. Also are halberds always strike last, and if they are does always strike first take over, or do they cancel out, or what happens because i think 20 warriors with +1 strenght and striking before your opponent would be pretty cool. If you run bloodletters, the lore of death isn't as good because they can just chop heads off of lords/heros.
Third, what kind of teams are you doing? If you are running by the book, i am pretty sure that you are allowed to throw the bsb in your unit if you feel like it.
Other than that the two lists look good.
Great Weapons are strike last Halbeards are not
