new daemons player - 2500 pt list

I'm very new to daemons, having only played a few proxy games.
I play mainly against a high elves player, usually with teclis and a decent amount of swordmasters.
With that in mind I would greatly appreciate any advice and feedback for this list:

KoS: allure, tormentor, torment blade, lv3
or allure, torment blade, soul hunger, lv4

HoS: allure, torment blade, chariot, bsb (despair)
    HoS: allure, torment blade, chariot
    Masque

30 x bloodletters: full command (endless war)
    16 x horrors: standard (change)

    5 x flesh hounds
    5 x flesh hounds

    1 x fiend
    1 x fiend
    1 x beast
    1 x beast

I'm thinking of swapping some hounds or a beast for some flamers.
I usually run the heralds with the masque and keeper and target the enemy's wizard.

    Thanks for any help.

playing agaist teclis and not bringing Karios to the fight? This ought to be interesting. Against Teclis i would run the LVL 4 wizard to at least try and compete with him. Also i think the flamers would be a good idea because against T3 they are wounding on 3's, deadly and should be able to soften some thing up for the 'letters to rip apart. I am concerned about the fact that you only have 1 unit of core troops that will do things in combat. Swordmasters, from what i heard, put up a good fight, and will kill the lone fiends and beasts, or take a chunk of the 'letters out before they get to strike, and with no augment magic to buff them or a herald for hatred they seem like sitting ducks. I would thing about maybe dropping some stuff for daemonettes and put a herald in the unit for ASF, then you have something that will be striking fast also. You really don't need the fiends for hero huniting because you already have a KoS.

You need more core at 2500pts. Most armies will be rocking 3-4 combat units at this points level you need more anvils and to boost the power of your hammers.

Your beats and fiends at the moment will get eaten in combat res instability. I find it a bit weird that you have heralds of slannesh yet no deamonettes. you should get a herald of Khorne for the Hatred boon to the bloodletters. you need at least 20-25 horrors at 2500.

i agree somewhat with whatfruit, you have 2 herald of slaanesh's yet no daemonettes? also, i really would advise on taking a hok, though saying that, bloodletters can function ok without a herald (due to the poor locus of the khorne herald) still, its probably worth investing.

I totally disagree with the fiends of slaanesh though, yes they are there to be eaten... but thats the point, you throw fiends in the way so you buy yourself some wiggle room

out of interest what would you be doing with the heralds of slaanesh? As they can't join any unit you have on the list... the only logical thing i can think of is character assissination, but thats a bunch of points for something that will die the same round of combat

what i would get rid of:
drop some gifts on the keeper, you are tying up a whole bunch of gifts in one model, still slaanesh lore is beautiful...
horrors, these seem to be only here because want another wizard, only problem tzeentch lore sucks, only 2 good spells in that lore horrors dont have access too, and they are worse than useless in combat
hounds, they were stupidly good in 7th, i've also recently played a small game (750pts) where they ran through everything, but for the most part the points can be better spent elsewhere
beasts... fiends, flamers, and bloodcrushers are all superior in my honest opinion... i see no reason to take these... i mean they arent bad... but everything else is so much better

    what i would add
more core... specifically my 2.5k list runs 2 hordes of bloodletters... you will often face armies with numerous big blocks of horded goodness, this is because our core doesnt come cheap, but do not frett... they will murder most things
flamers, the best unit in our book, whenever i see a list it looks naked without them in there
the masque, if you run a high level kipper, you want to take advantage of what the lore is based around, no unit does it better than the masque. combined with the slaanesh lore and great icon of despair, opponents are trying to roll 5 or under on 3 dice...

the thing i would swap would be HoS, for HoK... far more beneficial for you

    thats my 2 cents anyway
finding some space for naked Rhinos
