Got the book today (finally!) and I must say, I'm having a HUGE amount of trouble fitting everything I want in...
And thats only using two of the chaos gods...
Once you throw in a greater Daemon and a couple of heralds, there aint much left in terms of points
Anyone else having problems like this? Thank goodness I have no intention of including Slaanesh, or I'd need 5000 points just to fit everything in!
I have to ay that I am, but I think if you lost the greater daemon and fielded just one daemon prince that would free up a lot of points. I think that DoC will work the best with heralds inside of the units, that way you get the extra ability that most units gain from them.
I would almost take a greater daemon if I had the "left over" points for it.
Im thinking the same. That said, the resuced price of the GD's (well, my Bloodhtirster anyway ) doesn't save all that many points, only 200 or so. Will certainly help though.
With the heralds, in my mixed army, that I want to have a unit of Bloodletters and Horrors conatining the Changeling in, I definately want herald in each, so 3 characters eats up the points darn it...
Oh well. I just have to keep on tweaking...
You could keep the unit count low .
Im thinking the unit count will have to be low with this army. I mean, for even just hero choices you're looking at around 190 pts for a standard HoK with Jugger, and probably more like 250 for a HoN and between 150 to 200 for HoS and HoT. For a DP you can easily spend 400 points, and GDs will often go for 500-600 pts no problem. Then adding in that even our cheapest units are the price of elites for other armies... We're getting outnumbered by everything in existence, except for maybe mono-knight Brettonia. But then again, I don't mind that so much. All it means is I spend less money than if I collected a horde.
