I have my first battle using my Daemon army (2000 pts) against High Elfs. He will use probably a dragon mage and knights. My army is fast and includes a keeper, masque, mounted herald of slaanesh, 3x 10 daemonetes, 3x 5 furies, 6x seekers, and 3 UNITS OF KHORNE DOGS!
The keepers and Khorne dogs are my cc rippers but I am worried about getting the flesh hounds to the enemy.
About the Flesh HOunds, Beyond their normal daemonic ward save, How can I get any Armor Save for them? Please tell me the codex page too so I can look it up I am just worried they will die in droves to HE archers and bolt throwers!
Oh yeah, same question for the keeper? beyond her normal daemonic ward how can i get any AS?
Thanks for your help.
they both don't have armour saves.
the only ones are the BT (heavy armour) and jugger riders.
plus some options for herald / GD.
there's no options for Keeper and Hounds to pick up armour.
No. No armor at all except for some Daemonic Gifts, Juggernaughts and the BT.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
If it's not an option, you can't purchase it.
No amount of willing it to happen will change that.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
Just surround them with screening furies, this is even better than wearing an armour
Or, in a completely different army list setup, take some masters of sorcery with the heavens' lore and cast some anti-shooting wards (can't remember the spell name).
It's better, it's shiny, it's warped...it's Chaos.
Lol. Listen to the mighty Rork.
The stats of a Flesh Hound make it pretty darn sturdy. Multi wound, with high toughness and movement combines with a ward save? Yes please! PLUS you have 3 units of them! I wouldn't be too worried about HE bows with all those dogs running around.
Furies will help here, of course. as has been mentioned by Hollow_Man.....and you have 3 of them too!
You shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just dont worry if the furies die! Usually, it's what they're meant to do, but they can certainly eat a bolt thrower or 2.
Also, Hollow_man, I think you mean the Celestial Shield. It's not too bad, but becuase it's a ward save, it will replace to Dogs' normal ward save, only improving from 5+ to 4+. I think Howler Wind from the Lore of Life would be better, plus you can attack archers and bolties from the very hills they are standing on at very high strength
