Well, I managed to talk my wife into playing warhammer with me and she picked the demons because she likes the new bloodletters, the old demonettes, and the greater demon of slannesh. However, when trying to build up her collection we ran into a few problems.
First, we can't find the old demonettes ANYWHERE. Any suggestions on how to get a hold of some beyond praying a lucky hit on ebay would be appreciated.
Seoncd, there are no Seekers of Slannesh models to be found, either old or new.
Third, there are no heralds for any of the demon gods, and she doesn't like The Masque, and I can't think of anything else to use for it from the warhammer range.
Slaanesh got the short end of the stick.
Old Daemonettes? Sorry, I was looking for some but no luck.
Seekers? Nope, GW stopped making them. Maybe some plastics or a new box coming but nothing I have any hard facts about.
Heralds might be a bit easier. If she doesn't plan on playing in any GTs or RTTs there are plenty of other games with comparable models. A little converting may be in order but there is some kool stuff out there.
Old Daemonettes and Seekers can be found on eBay only I'm afraid.
Or you can convert. I will be making Seekers from plastic Daemonettes and plastic Goblin Spider Riders, inspired by other members, like some freaky spider-centaur thingy. A Herald can be made from a plastic daemonette with proper fancy bits or color scheme.

i am actually selling some seekers i converted... check them out on ebay dont buy the seekers that are metal - they are like 15 a pop on ebay and imo it is a total ripoff (you can buy converted or convert them yourself and save $$$)
I love the old daemonettes, and i searched hard for them after they got dropped. I still need 1 of the basic models and ALL of the mounted ones. Makes me sad that i don't own all of em.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

they censored the old daemonettes... you can see their breasts more clearly before.. i think the hounds had balls hanging down too from past edition
How old are you talking? There is technically two different sets of old seekers and nettes. I am assuming you are talking about the more recent old ones, the skinnier, more sleek ones. But, yeah, basically ebay. I am pretty glad I had 10 seekers and 40 nettes from an old demon list. I have also heard they are planning on doing some new models in early 2009, specifically a new plastic demon prince, but I would hope that they do some models for heralds, and possibly seekers.
Thanks for the replies guys. I was hoping it wouldn't be up to Ebay to sate her desire for the older models. And yeah, I did mean the sleeker looking models.
I was thinking that she could use Wood Elf Dryads as either Daemonettes or Horrors. Then again, if GW decides to crank out plastic Witch Elves (or plastics for some all-female regiment), then she could try converting them into her own version. Then again, might want to check around and see if any flea markets have them on sale (can't say for sure, but intend to find out when I go to one I know of).
Don't worry. She's not the only one why still likes the old bare-naked daemonettes (I've got four of the old Seekers, two that aren't painted, and one that I gave to my sis). Rather annoying that GW turned them into ugly translevite-esque monsters for the sake of making the game more appealing to younger pups.
