Hey fellow daemon players!
I'm just wrapping up my painting of my ever-growing daemon army and I was wondering if any of you have used alternate models for any of your plague beareres and hounds? I know that there are subs out there from other companies, but I want to keep my models "legal" for potential GW tournies and such.
I was thinking of using ghouls for plaguebearers as I don't feel like shelling a ton of money out anymore for the metal ones. I was also thinking about using the chaos warhounds for my flesh hounds as I like the models a little bit more. Anyone else have anything that they've done? We've got a ton of metal still in our army...
As far as subs go, ==My== entire army is sprues, so that's them
Fiends-Spawn, Cold Ones
Khorne Dogs-Chaos Hounds
Seekers-Half Daemonette, half spider
You know, the seekers idea is really, really good. My buddy has a ton of those spiders he's trying to get rid of so I may swipe those from him then. Would they look right though? I've never seen anyone do that sort of thing before.
It looks as right as a half daemonette spider centaur does
For my heralds of Tzeentch and Blue Scribes models I used two Empire wizard boxes with dryad heads. They look fairly good overall. Plus, plastic > metal any day.
Have a look in my project log for some dryad > horror conversions.
