Daemons of Chaos
So, what do you think are the best army against daemons? Put that to the poll. And it would be nice if you could tell the easiest mach-up too. And why did you choose that army?

I voted Vampire Counts being the best army. Mostly because the two armies negate eachother's crap. You cause fear, great- we're immune to psych. You don't break? Neither do we. You kill bunches of guys? Well, we have bunches of guys just waiting for you to kill. You like magic? Guess what, so do we. You're so hard you NEVER run away? Yep, we're so totally braindead that we don't run away either. You take crumble casualties when you lose? Wow- us too!
Oh wait, did I mention that we come back from the dead?
That part is the clincher right there. We can take every last bit of eachother's beating, but as long as we can get a handful of spells through (and we can, we always can) we'll just come right back. Daemons are good off the charge, where they can break the enemy outright. They're good at the war of attrition too, because they are allowed to stick around and grind the enemy for another turn no matter what. But VC do it better, because even when we lose, we can bring back more guys. Nothing frustrates a Bloodcrusher more than a 50 strong regiment of zombies that turns into a regiment of 65 after he kills 12 of them.
Worst army against Daemons? Like- the guys that you WANT to fight, just so you can turn them into chickens, leave them writhing on the ground in their own juices, cover them in boils, or bust their ribs open and mount their heads on spikes? Orks and Goblins: nothing to it.
I love to fight the same guys. They have practically no magic ability, never come prepared to stop a magical onslaught, and they have some of the lowest leadership and most mediocre stats in the game. Gun them down by the hundreds, take your blood for the blood god, but leaves the skulls for me.
Orcs&goblins are a lot of fun to play against with every army
I love to play against very much savage orcs.
Their expensive and have frenzy so we always get at least 1 or 2 fleshhound units in their flank and maybe something hard in the front
Last tournament I played 1750 pts ogre's with 2 butchers and 2 scrolls.
All he had was 1 lvl night goblin shaman so I could cast like 1 succesfull panic check against their hammer units per turn (lol 20 big un orcs on the run with a very expensive black or bsb.)
The counts are very hard to play against, maybe even 5 beasts of nurgle can't fully stand a blood knight charge.
Or the 40 skellie unit with banners that give + 3 combat res and that gives you 4 combat res from ranks, he got all sorts of possible combat res!
The guy had like 9 maybe 12 starting combat res!!
What can we actually do against VC?
Against VC, you want flying units to pick off lone vampires. Against their vampires bunkered down in units, always focus all of your attacks against the vampire. Spend all of your effort trying to kill the General, as they begin to crumble at the start of every turn after that. If you can kill the general and the other vampires, then you have won the battle. If you cannot, then you are going to lose.
Interesting how almost all the votes are for the new books. I would say we would have trouble against good bow/gunlines. Anyone that can pump tons of shots into us will make us start failing that 5+ Ward. Tomb Kings will negate our Fear while Dwarves can withstand it fairly well. All of the Elves can pincushion us before we get there. We do have quite a bit of speed in our list to help out with that so I think it comes down more to list makeup rather than particular armies. If I had to choose an army I think I would go with Dwarves as I think they can stifle our magic and Fear and exploit our low toughness and no armor the best.
I agree with dwarfs. Their ranged prowess and the solidity of their blocks make it very very hard to crack. add in the fact that they can make most of the CC blocks immune to fear or basically impossible to outnumber and you loose the chance to auto break them.
a 5+ ward on everything is nice, but pour enough fire into anything and they die.
example of this is in 40k, went up against a unit of 10 termies with a squad of 30 ork Boys. demolished the entire squad, the fact that they had a 2+ armor save didn't help much against 60 wounds.

I play Mono Tzeentch. Dark Elves with the ring can cause me some bother. Vampires not so much. 3 Heralds with Lore of Light. Also, the Lord of Change, who can do good damage to the general. Against them I usually just nuke the one unit the vampire is in with every unit i have. After taking 3 heralds with lore of light, a LoC, 3 units of horrors, and 12 flamers on the chin, the unit tends to be barely alive. And it really is just grind that unit down till you get to kill the general. It's not that hard. To be honest I relish armies with a Lance/Fury vamp on a dragon. It's just fodder for the Bolt of Tzeentch.
I would think lizardmen or other daemons would be difficult for us. I play Mono nurgle and tzeentchs multitude of flaming attacks gets real annoying as i rely on regeneration.
As for easy armies, Im 2/0 both massacres against elves. One game even had teclis, I was able to take advanted of their medicore toughness and spam staff of nurgle. That really screws any elf unit over.
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
