GW in their infinate wisdom as you all well know don't supply the majority of Herald models, and a couple years ago stopped selling the individual parts - making it very expensive to convert.
I am therefore looking to use alternative models and as others will have thought this long before I did, just wondering as to what you guys thought was good.
A pink horror with some warhawk wings (old model bits) or some old carrion wings would look ok, but I was also considering using this:
Warmaster: Greater Daemon Of Tzeentch | Games Workshop
It's a Lord of Change for Warmaster - but I am uncertain exactly how big the model is. I would assume it's the size of one of our normal horrors - if not a little bigger - but not certain as I've never actually seen Warmaster.
Opinions, pictures and other models much appretiated
Convert this guy a bit
Lord of Tzeentch | Games Workshop
And use him straight up, I recommend switching staffs
Chaos Champion of Tzeentch | Games Workshop
Gamezone Miniatures - Fantasy Tabletop Shop - Chaos Zauberer 01-10
Gamezone Miniatures - Fantasy Tabletop Shop - Chaos Zauberer enthäutet II 01-11
Gamezone Miniatures - Fantasy Tabletop Shop - Chaos Zauberer III 01-12
Well thats what I could find in my few minutes of time, hope it helped!
The bird-headed Tzeentch champion is what I use for Heralds. They both look great and are appropriate.
Once again, the conservative, sandwich-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor!
