This may be more something for the army list sub-forum but it'll get more traffic here. I'm starting a daemon army and have been trying to find online guides as to what's good and what's not. The idea for my army list is a balanced fluff list, which means
1. A Herald of each god
2. A Lesser Daemon block of each god (i.e. core units)
3. A monster unit of each god (i.e. either special or rare choice)
I'm having trouble deciding on the monster units for slaanesh (Seekers vs. Fiends) and Nurgle (Nurglings vs. Beasts). this is for a standard 2,250 pt army list based in Australia (ie there is comp involved) and I've already chosen 1 rare slot in Flamers (duh) so i can only take 1 more rare choice max.
Being mindful of going too cheesy, rather than asking which are the best choices I'll work backwards and decide which god 'gets' the other rare slot:
Which one of those 4 units of Slaanesh / Nurgle are the least useful / competitive?
Go for the nurglings, they are characterful and not as good compared to a beast.
And go seekers if you don't have any other cavalry

Ill have to agree. Beasts are pretty darn good, but nurglings are just as good for tying something up for a bit and are mega fluffy
