What is your Crowning moment of awesome when playing daemons?
Mine was today, a team game my mono nurgle and a choas dwarf player agaisnt Dark Elves and Lizardmen. One of my heralds was rened stupid and left his unit only to be charge by a temple guard unit with Chakax and Lord Kroak in it. That one Herald held off that entie unit for the rest of the game (A good 3 turns for both sides). He only took one wound from the 5th deliverance of itza spell. The rest of the time he was passing his wards. Final round he has to make 5 saves, I roll 4 5's and a 4. For the Regeneration I roll a 4
I think I won't find many people to play against with daemons after this game.
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
My flamers get charged by a unit of shades with an assassin - my pyrocaster challenges, takes a wound and causes one back on the assassin. Generally not a lot else happens in the combat.
2nd round, the pyrocaster survives the assassin's attacks, kills the assassin and the flamers butcher the rest of the shades.
Fun times .
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
I don't play daemons, but once there was this annoying little horror champion, in a challenge with my dwarf BSB. Almost everything was wiped off the table, except for 4 or so horrors from 2 different units, 1 flying tzeentch herald, 1/2 unit of quarrelers, 1/2 unit fo thunderers, my BSB and runesmith and a cannon. That silly horror wouldn't die for 3 or 4 combats in a row, kept passing the damned wardsave.
But eventually I turned him a shape even more unusual than normal, called 'axe in yer head'.
a flamer with the Blue Scribes taking out Skulltaker :p
