New to daemons and wondering about mounting a herald of nurgle on a palanquin?
I can't find it in the book where it explains it's affects...would any of you mind letting me know? And is it worth it?
Daemons of Chaos page 42.
The Palanquin is just a bunch of Nurglings holding up the Herald of Nurgle on a rotten throne.
Its good because the Herald of Nurgle with Slime Trail & Noxious Vapors also has Regeneration. On the mount the base is bigger so more attacking units are affected by the Noxious Vapors also the Palanquin also has 6 Poisonous attacks (you wound on a 6 to hit), so that 9 Poisonous attacks in all just from the Herald of Nurgle + Palanquin.
oh ok thanks alot. i just didnt know if he got any sort of save from it.
Nope, not really, he's already got regeneration, an armor save would be too much, there is actually no chariot for nurgle theme since most of the time in a chariot the characters have armor saves, although that would be cool.
Herald of Nurgle on Chariot (pulled by Beasts of Nurgle, or even funnier, Nurglings)
Armor Save 5+
Ward Save 5+
You fail to save those and someone manages to kill ur Herald of Nurgle you might aswell just pack and go since it definitely won't be ur lucky day hehe
