Ive been playing fanatasy for the last 2 years as WOC and after seeing the new plastics that are coming out at the end of this month and my warriors army almost reached critical mass (All i need is a hellcannon and some dragon ogres and i'm done any one want to sell me some dragon ogres?) Im really tempted to start a deamons army.
I love Deamons and always have but am unsure where to start. I like to spend a good £100 when I start an army to get myself a nicely balanced and good sized force to start playing. I dont like going magic heavy I prefer to play balanced forces and i like to get stuck into the melee (Hence why i play warriros).
At the moment im leaning towards purchasing
20 Pink Horrors
20 Blood Letters
Hearld of Tzeentch
P.S does anyone know if they are releasing plastic Plauge Bearers?

No Nurgle love, which saddens me. No plastic plague bearers sadly.
Anyway, Flamers are best taken in groups of 5 (I know they come in boxes of 3 =P) and Pinkies make for a really fun unit with 40 of them and a herald because they'll all have 4+ ward saves and be a level 4 wizard, which at the very least adds magic defense. Believe it or not, but Horrors can be very potent in melee combat between a Banner of change, gift of chaos, and possibly the help of Shield of thorns from a Herald with Master of Sorcery afor lore of life, which would be 5d6 hits before the pinkies attack, iirc. Add the changling in there for more fun, and you've got one hell of a unit.
40k: Silver Angels of Our Martyred Lady 7/2/3 - Daemons of the Great Squiggle! 3/1/0
Fantasy: Windhost of Athel'Loren 2/0/0 - Daemons of Another Great Squiggle! 0/0/0
Warmahordes: Legion of Everblight (Absylonia)
Well when the new daemon come out I would say do the following if you are wanting a balanced force.
2 boxes of bloodletters
2 boxes of daemonettes
4 boxes of pink horrors (new ones when you can)
This should give you a good mixed low point list.
1 herald of tzeentch
- master of sorcery (lore of life), bsb
1 herald of slaanesh
- what ever upgrades you prefer/can fit
18 bloodletters (6 by 3)
- musician, standard (endless war)
17 daemonettes (6 by 3)
- musician, standard + anything else you like
39 pink horrors (10 by 4)
- changeling, musician, standard + anything else you like
This will give a good base 1250ish list, that you can then just fill in with special and rares later, the pink horrors will act as you ranged damage in the form of magic. As daemons at lower points you really don't even need anything besides core and a herald or two as daemon core is so strong IMO.
- You must set fire to water or you will be extinguished.
I am now proud owner of some deamons of chaos managed to find a good deal on gumtree along with some 10 chaos knights and 10 maurder horsemen (metal last ed) (£55 the lot).
15 Bloodletters Full Command
20 Deamonnetes 2 command groups
10 Flesh Houds of Khorne
I can proxy some heralds until im ready to take the plunge anyone got any ideas for a 1000pointish force i could make with that.
Right been going through the book first list with models i have
15 Bloodletter Full Command: Icon of Endless war
20 Demonettes Standard and Musican
15 Horrors Full Command Banner of Change
Hearled of Tzenntch Master of Sourcery
5 Flesh Hounds.
Im unsure what to get next. Im thinking of building some Fiends os slannesh from the spider/Deamonnette combo that i have seen posted on here. I think i will get another box of pinkies and definately another box of bloodletters.
