    Pink horror horde

Has anyone had any experience with using a horde of pink horrors with a herald bsb and the changeling? I've just nearly finished painting them and I was wondering if it's worth a try because I think they would make a great anvil unit.

Hoards of pink horrors aren't that good in my opinion. You are spending a lot of points an a unit that will die as soon is it gets into combat. The changling might be able to kill a couple, if lucky, but the rest of the horrors won't do that many wounds and if your enemy is anything that can do wounds in combat you are going to die and lose to combat res. The spells that the unit gets are not usually worth casting when you have a lore master herald. The benefit that the horrors do bring is a lvl 4 wizard that will be able to dispel your opponents wizards easier.

If you want pink horrors in your list just take one block with 38, add a HoT with Mastery Life and the skulltaker to the block. Give full command with changeling. basically they are an anvil unit with buffing their toughness and their 4+ ward. Then just let bloodletters or something else kill stuff.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Flamers, letters and hounds either side. Didnt know skulltaker could join other gods' units Might try it and see. Thanks.

any of the named heros can because they are not techically "heralds" and therefore do not have the locus of (insert god) rule, so they may join other units.

    the masque can't :p

But like thatrandomguy says, horror blocks aren't that good, even a 40+ horde of them wont do much good, in fact that would be worse, if you're going to use horrors, don't horde them... its far better to bus them as you want to minimize base contact, plus steadfast will save you till bloodletters/hounds/crushers/anything in our army book that are worth their points/greater daemons join the fight.
