I'm a 40K player and i've just decided to get into Fantasy. So I picked up the Dark Elf codex *ahem* army book and made this list. I have only a little experience with fantasy, 1 500 point game and i have read the rulebook once. So my choices are based mostly on personnal preference and from what i picked up from babblings around the net.
2 Dispell scrolls
Sea Dragon cloak
Sea Dragon cloak
10 Crossbow men
15 Witch elves
10 Black Guard
Standard of Hag Graef
5 Cold Ones Knights
2 Reaper bolt throwers
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
The rest of the list is okay.
I'm not sure what your Master is for. Is he just to add some extra punch to the Cold One unit, or is he to be the general? I think you'd benefit from making him into a Battle Standard Bearer - break tests are crucial, and having a re-roll just makes it that bit harder for your opponent to get you to run away. The bonus to combat resolution is also extremely handy, especially in a Cold One Knight unit. If you get it right, you should be charging in the flank, thereby cancelling ranks. The wounds inflicted, plus CR bonus from the Battle Standard should make it a fairly straightforward fight, and if it goes wrong at least your re-roll will help you survive.
Make the Level 4 your general, and keep the leadership in the centre of your army, where it can do the most good. I'd recommend switching the Darkstar Cloak on the Supreme Sorceress for either a Sacrificial Dagger or a Focus Familiar.
