 War Hydra

This should be in the Army List sub-forum.
The Crimson Death is a two handed weapon. So, try to give the Master armor of darkness for a 1+ save. The Hydra is a bit of overkill at this point level. For fairness I would drop the hydra.
Dropping the Hydra gives you 175 points. Drop the Master's shield, sdc, and heavy armour.(185) Give him AoD.(160) Take a unit of 5 Dark Riders w/ RxBs and a musician.(43) Take a full command on your Corsairs.(18) Add another Corsair.(8)
I would take 11 Corsairs and run 5 in the front rank with the General and 6 in the second rank.
I don't know what your tactics would be, but this list doesn't seem to have any units that can take a charge.

Ave Dominus Nox!
Armour of darkness would be impossible on the master, as a hero in 500 points can only cost up to 125 pts. Blood armour is still good though. This makes the master 120 pts. I'd also say drop the hydra in the interest of fairness, and also drop the shields on the RxBs and replace them with another model. That is up to you though. This makes the army total 330 pts. I would, personally, go for 11 Black guard w/ full command. This takes the total up to 503, stick the master in the BG, soften up the enemy with the RxBs, take the charge with BG and counter with corsairs. Charge if you get the chance with BG, they are simply awesome. Hope this helped, at least a bit.

Where does it say that the HERO in a 500 point battle is limited in point value?
Ave Dominus Nox!
*Removes individual points costs and deports thread to DE Army Lists*
And I think Dom9001 refers to the Border Patrol rules, probably somewhere on the GW Site.
