I am brand new and am trying to make an army that I can start playing and learning with. I wanted to use a Hydra since it would cut down on the models that I would have to assemble and paint. I did some reading and asking around and the result would be that it was unfair and a "mean" thing to do. In my opinion, if the hydra is that overpowered, then it needs to be nerfed. So here goes my first attempt at a starter army.
Hero: Master: Heavy Armor, Shield, Sea Dragon Cloak, Biting Blade= 95
Core: 10 Crossbowmen = 100
23 Spearmen: Shields, Musician, Standard = 170
Special: 5 CoK = 135
The Master goes with the spearmen to form a 6x4 unit. The reason I chose a Biting Blade is because I had 5 points left over and it was the only thing I could buy for 5 points.
At first I had 47 extra points. Originally I had 17 spearmen to form a 6x3 unit. I just decided to beef up the unit a little more because I couldn't figure out what else to do with the points.
Does this look good enough to get started with? I am open to suggestions.
Thanks in advance!!
