I'm attending a tournament in a month or so and im struggling with putting a list together. There are no restrictions on what i take in the army but a tier system is in place to balance the armies. Anyways here's a list of what i have and any feedback on what an effective 2k army list would look like would be great:
Black Dragon (can be a sorceress or dreadlord)
Dreadlord on foot
Sorceress on foot and another on dark steed
Sorceress on pegasus
7 Dark Riders
20 Repeater Crossbowmen
18 Black Guard
2 RBT and a Hydra
Well, the outline looks good, so it really comes down to the details doesn't it? I suggest putting the Dreadlord on the dragon, a supreme sorceress doesn't really want to do the things that a dragon wants to do.
I'll post a list for you later, it that is what you are asking for.
sorry double post.

Thanks for the post, sorry i was kind of vague. As i see it 2x10 Crossbowmen with musicians (210pts), 2 RBTs (200pts) and the Hydra (175) are core to a Dark Elf Army. The Black Guard (around 300pts) and Warriors (155pts) make up key anvil blocks. That leaves around 1000pts for characters, flankers and hammer units which i'm not sure what to do about. THe black dragon is awesome but i cant seem to find the points for it but i'd love to have one in a list if you have any suggestions.
