This is my first Fantasy army ever, not even read the rule book yet. But I've read the Dark Elf fiction and Witches stand out most for me.
I want the theme to be Black Ark raiders, using Brides Of Burning Blood as the main focus.
This is a 1000 point list that I'm going to aim for to begin with but have no idea what to use. Will be buying the battleforce and thats why some of their models are in the list.
· Armour Of Eternal Servitude
· Cold One130
20 Black Ark Corsairs
· Sea Serpent Standard
16 Dark Elf Repeater Crossbowmen
5 Cold One Knights135
10 Witch Elves
· Standard Bearer
· Great Weapons90
999 Points Total
Obviously I dont think the Master fits into the theme, so if you can think of a Hero that works better, I'm all ears. The harpies will be witches in the fluff, will prolly use Demonettes with closed harpy wings.
++Edit++ Sorry for posting on the wrong board, I did know about the army list page, just slipped my mind.

A Death Hag would fit in here much more nicely for your theme. Basically a Hero witch elf, probably a much more appropriate hero I would say. Otherwise, you need a standard bearer in the corsairs unit to take that magic banner. To pay for that I'd take the shields off those xbows since their pretty much useless on ranged units. Also applying to those xbows, unless you play with hills frequently, you'll most likely be unable to shoot with your whole unit. This is because only the front row can shoot normally, however if on a hill, both the front row and the row behind can shoot. Since a 16 man long crossbow line is fairly unwieldly, you'd likely line up in 2 ranks of 8, making 8 crossbowmen obsolete in most cases. I'd suggest either reducing them to 10 or bumping them up to 2 units of 10. Either way, they are more effective that way since your paying for shots that will be used and can use the excess points elsewhere.
Tactics wise, you have 2 units of infantry that are frenzied which means they can be led astray very easily. At this size of a game though I don't think it is a huge factor nor is there much you can do to counteract that with DE anyway. But really, I respect the goal of fluff way more than worrying about tactics. It's really fun and really falls into the spirit of the game when 2 players field armies with character and stories. Adds a nice personal touch to the whole game, so I say more power to you in that respect, who cares about frenzy, what happens will happen but you still have an awesome army.
I think a great hero choice to swap out would be a Death Hag (in with the witches) using Witch's Brew and Rune of Khaine. Witch's brew will be great for avoiding any leading the other army may do because of your frenzy, and since your using 10, the protection from flank and rank will really help. Rune of Khaine is just great because 1-3 extra poison attacks a round is awesome. 10pt difference, cut out a few RxB's
