Reaper Bolt Thrower (100 pts)
Reaper Bolt Thrower (100 pts)
Total Roster Cost: 2471
So that gives me a few points to play with, but I'm not sure what to spend it on. Also, I'm considering dropping the master on the pegasus for some more shades, although he is (at least on paper, haven't tried him yet) a very decent warmachine hunter. Also, I'd love some COK's in there for a heavy hitting threat with some good speed as well. I'd probably drop the crossbowmen down to 10 each and then see what sort of points I've got from there, perhaps also chucking in another, smaller group of spearmen as a bunker for my lvl2 sorc. How's the items looking on my characters? Mostly the casters I'm thinking about, ie is it worth getting the guiding eye, over say, a seal of ghrond for that lovely extra dispel die in each phase?. The level 4 goes into the spearman block and the level 2 goes into the crossbowman unit with 19 men in, to use her guiding eye once my foe gets a bit closer or when it's critical that I have some good shooting.
The master looks solid with (unless my math is totally of) a 1+, rerollable save against shooting, which halves it's strength when shooting him. He's a bit vulnerable to magic I suppose, but hey, that's part of being a master in my DE army
Cheers in advance!
yeah drop the RXB's to 10 each, i'd say swap the master on the peggaus and give the moount yto ur level two throw in some cold one knights to run with ehr for look otu sir etc use her to hutn war machines with magic as almost all auto fail to shadows / death I based spells btu Drak magic is still really potent in this edition so having all those short ranged spells on a mobile caster is great cill wind is not to be underestimated hit a war machine or shootie unit with as long as u cuase just oen wound thats it they wont be blasting you giving you that extra turn to engae them in melee with the cold ones
other than that the list looks great hope that helped you out
Mmmm yes, but sadly that would put me under the 25% minimum on core and the sorceress on dark peggie won't get a look out sir from COK's, seeing as they're different trooptypes
Personaly I usualy take more hydras, but that is just me.
About the black guards champion, against some armies (such as other elves) I would give him armour of darkness, so he could beat enemy characters in chalenges, but I guess that there are some armies with heroes that got low initiative that a crimson death will be more powerfull.
I think what draghkar meant about the repeater crossbowmen was taking 4 units of 10 instead of 2 units of 20. They dont realy need BSB and they could do as well with only a musician.
I also think that instead of your noble you can take another hydra or a couple of reaper bolt throwers.
The reason they've got a standard is for the blood & glory scenario Armour of darkness might be worth a shot, gonna try that out at some point That being said, I've changed the list quite a bit, will post it later
