Mainly I play against Daemons with a focus on Khorne and 1 unit of Plaguebearers and 1-2 3man units of Flamers. Decided to try out a new list and figured I'd post it and get some feedback. Taking a risk with my Dreadlord as well.
Cold One, Pendant of Khaleth, Dragonhelm, Crown of Command, Heavy Armor, Sea Dragon Cloak, Great Weapon.
Basically run him alone, try and get him on the flank of a big unit and hold it up for another unit to hit it. Has a 1+ AS in CC, 0+ against Shooting, 2+ ward save against flaming attacks and a reverse ward save. And stubborn so always rolling on 10 LD
Supreme Sorceress: 225pts
Will be seated in with the Crossbows
Level 2. Death Magic
Seated with Spearmen for protection and get in range to snipe
Death Hag: 225pts
Cauldron of Blood and Battle Standard
Basic Cauldron with BSB, will try and keep within 12inch of Dreadlord for re-roll LD
23 Spearmen: 176pts
Shields and Full Command
21 Corsairs: 260pts
Full Command, Handbows and Sea Serpent Standard
Idea with these guys as I've never used them before is to hopefully get within 8inch of a unit, fire off anywhere from 24-28 shots depending on how I set them up, 6-7 across, and then another round when he charges into either +1 attack or Killing Blow depending on my choices with the Cauldron
20 Witch Elves: 235pts
Full Command, Banner of Eternal Flames
Gave them the banner to use up extra points and as a bonus if they get into CC with the Plaguebearers.
2 Bolt Throwers: 200pts
War Hydra: 175pts
Can't see a problem with the list at all. Looks pretty damned good.
Have you considered a Dark Steed or a Dark Pegasus for your Dreadlord? It would make him a lot more maneuverable and more likely to get a flank. And not have to worry about Stupidity. Purely a suggestion. It would mean only a 2+ Armour/1+vs shooting though.
I have. Only choice would be the Dark Steed, unless I removed the Supreme Sorc as there's just not enough points for the Dark Pegasus, although being able to move him 20" on the march would be nice, being on the Cold One makes him immune to psych as well, so I don't have to bother rolling for fear and risking rolling bad. Main thing is that I need to try and get my BSB within 12" of him after the first charge to re-roll his 10LD. Since he's stubborn, CR won't matter unless I'm winning or I lose and roll badly lol
No worries, just wondering if you had. Haha
