-Seal of Ghrond
6x Cold One Knights

2x Reaper Bolt Throwers
I've had really good time with this list. I put the Highborn with the unit of Shades and use them with the Manflayers to charge block/flank charge/harass units. I love those Manflayer, they have won the game on several occasions.
Those Manflayers are fun!!! i use them a lot too. This army is quite magic heavy though, try using an assassin as a scout you could actually choose where and when to fight ith all those scouts..
This list is a combonation of 2 lists I like to use. One is a magic/infintry heavy list and the other uses shades and manflayers to march block and annoy units longer enough for the chariots and knights to hit.Originally Posted by Black Guard
I was thinking about dropping a sorceress and the unit of crossbowmen for another unit of shades with an assassin. Nothing like 3 units of scouts, each lead by a hero.
OOOOOOOOHHHHH yes, I love Manflayers. Every time I've used them, they won me the game. Once they dropped a Giant with their poisoned crossbows, another time they killed off a unit of 8 ironguts, but the best was when I played against high elves. My opponent used 2 units of archers and 2 bolt throwers trying to kill them. -1 from skirmishing, -1 from the banner, -1 from long range, and -1 from being behind light cover = -4 to hit!!!:ninja:
Your points tally is incorrect, the Lvl 2 sorceress with darkstar cloak is 150, not 140.
When you say -1 to hit when shooting because of the manflayers banner.. is that a common rule that applies to all units with banners? or is it a specific manflayer special rule?
If its common, then i've been missing out!!
Not sure what the cloak of dark souls or heat stone of darkness does, but if your giving the noble a great weapon, then i would give him some things for defence (maybe a shield of ghrond), since he will be striking last.
Anyway, looks like a fun list to play, & not cheesey. so it passes my criteria for a good list lol
