ok this is a list to fight my friend who plays heavy cav/magic HE's
Highborn=HA, SDC, Shield, GoP,MSoL
Sorc= level 2, Tome of Furion, Seal of Ghrond (shadow magic)
(should i switch the tome for another Scroll or something?)
Sorc= level 2, Scroll x2 (shadow magic)
Noble=HA, SDC, Draich of Dark Power
(in a chariot)
Full Command, Soul Shadow Standard
ok this is made to fight my friends high elves, my plan is to have a block in the center with 2 hero's in it and 2 chariots 1, with a lord cover it. my flanks will be covered by dark riders harpies RBT's and warriors with xbows. if i plan my enemies move right, hes gonna try to hit my block and collapse my center, but little does he know. its gonna be an intentional collapse. if he charges ill use the soul shadow banner to get away then my turn, either charge 2 chariots and the block or use magic and shoot them down. tell me what you think
Im not a fan of defensive lists. But as far as they go, this one isnt bad.
I would probably drop the tome of furion and switch to death magic.
whats MSoL on the highborn? and where is he going? corsairs? if so, make them 19 strong.
The gauntlet is overkill against T3 elves with not alot of armour. I would go for something cheaper like a sword of might, still wounding on 2's (and if theres anything that would still have a good armour save after -2, then use your RBT's on them. dragon princes etc).. Or the crimson death if you arent to worried about needing his shield.
The driach is proably overkill too for what it costs. if you need killing blow then try an assasain in the corsairs with touch of death. That would also be nice if you think you can lure him into charging them. if for some reason you dont want to flee, you could reveal him and cut down a character or 2-3 troops.

MSoL = mystic shield of light (albion item) its a ward save and if made reduces the attackes WS to 1, the gauntlet is their for chariot busting/phycology of a str 8 guy/and taking out some heavy cav. hes gonna be in the corsiars along with 1 of my mages. well for the chance of getting unseen lurker (shadow magic list), and steed of shadows. so if need be ill shoot him out of the unit straight into a chariot/fast cav/archers (i found this to be extremely effective).
yes i was 50/50 with the noble or assassin. but i see him as more effective in a chariot, i was thinking of sword of might, but i need him to be able to handle eagles/dragon princes/Dragons!/silver helms/or get lucky and killing blow heroes.
the assassin doesnt fill the role of taking out a low T hero as well as i like. no way to get his str up. unless i take manbane, and only good against high T units (not what the HE's have)
This commentary may be too late to be of much use. But here's my thoughts:
Looks like you have good magic defense. But against magic heavy HE, I don't know if you have enough offense to bother with, maybe leave them level 1 and drop the Tome for another scroll?
If you are playing against a heavy cav army, why bother with all the RxB warriors? You probably won't kill much (lots of enemy armor), and they are too small to win static CR. You could combine them for a unit of 20 spearelves with full command and shields, which would likely win a charge from a small-medium unit of cavalry through static CR (still won't kill much).
Your intentional collapse could backfire. If the HE have dragon princes (geared up with characters & items), and know about the soul shadow standard, they can park just outside 10" away, and then probably succeed in a charge (average 2D6 flee roll is 7", + 10" intitial, DP charge 18"). Your chariots may protect against this strategy by charging DP if they try and get too close, but watch out for being charge-baited and getting your chariots countercharged.
Arena of Death Champion: Nexim of the Guldskullz Tribe. Fear my wrath!
actually you are to late lol, it turned out i didnt need magic resistance since the highelves found it fun to roll 3 miscasts in 2 turn when i only got 1 the whole game =), my chariot were distroyed 2nd turn by boltthrowers, and where later destroyed by my xbowmen. my collapse actually worked insanely perfectly. he charged me with silverhelms and when i fled i rolled 10, my corsairs were thus out of range and i casted unseen lurker on the unit which in turn rolled their 2ups with my Gauntlet of power (my favorite item btw =)). but the game was a draw with me winning by 150 pts. CURSE YOU WALL OF FIRE!!!!!
