Has anyone tried using a hunter noble with a web of shadows. 2d6 s3 hits should be enough to take down a hero level mage and with a bit of luck could even take down a lord level mage! :party2:
Worth a shot or not? I have a hard enough time writing the characters for my DE lists at the best of times! >.<
its great to put on a noble with a dark steed. have him go with a unit of dark riders so that he cant be targeted. then when the time is right, run up to a mage or something else that needs killing but isnt that that hard to kill, and watch them fall over. i once did that to a giant and it was hillarious. i rolled double 6's and did 6 wounds to it. my dice rolling was fantastic. i laughed so much, but my opponent wasnt. another thing that really funny to do it to is a Vampire lord. watch them fail 5 1+ saves with a 6+ ward. once again i rolled double 6's for it. that really funny. I still havent managed to get it passed a von carstien with a ring of the van cartiens. a 5+, 4++. 4+++ save is really hard to get by. and you need 6's to wound. so unless they are really bad at dice rolls, you in trouble.
I am pretty sure that is the intent of the web of shadows.2d6 s3 hits should be enough to take down a hero level mage and with a bit of luck could even take down a lord level mage!
That being said, a noble is perfectly capable of taking down a hero or lord level mage on his own anyways. Eventually.
I would prefer to give the web of shadows to a sorceress of my own. That way, when SHE is charged by some pesky enemy character, i can shoot them in the face with a razor blade encrusted net!! SURPRISE!!
P.S. DE Magic items are notoriously, well....crap! To be completely honest.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares, your a mile away and you have his shoes!!
