I was thinking of running a unit of 24 Executioners (with Full Command of course) that would be 6 files wide and 4 ranks deep - doesn't seem like anyone does this and I was wondering why - is this a good idea or bad?
Otherwise, since I have 24 execs what is the best way to set them up (2 units of 6x2??) - although I only have command for one though
Thanks for your help.

At 294 points I'd say its too costly.
I like units of 14 in 7x2 with FC and possibly War banner.

idk its pretty expensive as most people who use large numbers of execs field them 7 wide 3 ranks deep so you maximize their effectivness, 8 attacks(with champ) and 2 ranks, you would use all of your models and would save roughly 30 points but still i think your better off using them 7x2 with FC.(or 6x2 but 7 is prefreable)8Y
I use 5x2, minimum, with a magic banner and full command.
I find this takes down any unit I really care to use it against.
~As an afterthought, maybe don't use 24 execs at the same time.
The dark elf player I play with takes this on occasion, (normally more than 2000 pts) and uses hydra banner and extra move banner (BS.
The unit costs a pretty penny but damn it hits harder than, umm a hard thing.
