I have to say I love the new model, it looks way more vicious than the last editions. But I have to admit the 5+ hour assembly time of this horribly fitted metal model was very frustrating. Does anyone else have any love hate stories with the old or new models?
I just have a quick comment on metal model assembly. I used to struggle with metal models, until I discovered the trick...
1) Put a bit of glue down on one side
2) Put a small bit of greenstuff on top
3) Put another drop of glue on top of the greenstuff
4) Push the other piece down on it.
5) Hold for a few seconds.
The greenstuff fills gaps, makes the seal airtight (so the glue can take), and provides a quick sticky surface to hold things together as they dry. I've never had a problem since and the models stand up much better to abuse as well.
Hope that helps someone
I also really like the model but it was a really frustrating to make. It made it all worth it when it crunched through a treeman in one round of combat though.
