I just got the book last night, and was reading through it. From what I can see, the rules for assassins don't allow the assassin to deploy using scout rules. "He begins the game in one of the following units...". It gives no option to not use the hidden rule, from what I read.
I hope this is just a mistake, because I would love to have a 116 point war machine killer that can fly.
On that note, what would the best set up be for an assassin that is meant only to kill the small support units at the very back of the table? War machine crews, small shooting units, wizards etc.
My thought right now is
Extra hand weapon
Cloak of Twilight
That puts him at an affordable 116 points. Should I give him Dance of Doom for the save? Or Rune of Khaine for the extra attacks? Or anything else? How about the Rending Stars? Has anyone put them to good use? and how good are they?
Stick him in a unit of Shades and have them deploy via scouting rules.

Well that makes an awful lot of sense. Thanks
