I have been looking through the DE army book the last week, and I was actually just wondring if you could give me some hints and tips about how to use a sorceress most efficient. For example which lores you use and why. Should I pick the Lore of Dark Magic for all my wizards, or should I for example pick Lore of Shadow for one sorceress?
Feel free to include how you use the, and which spells you think is "best".
Thanks for your help

If you take two sorceresses or more make sure both /at least two of them have the same lore as it will increase the chance of you getting a required spell when rolling on the list and also increases the chance of it getting off if both casters have the spell. If you have more than two it may be worth having a loose cannon with another lore such as shadows for movment spells etc.
Proboably the best lore all rounf outside the normal dark magic is lore of metal. Often they cover all the desired affets of the lore of fire as they count as burning attacks but they also have spells which can stop war machines firing and spell to destroy pesky magic items like the high elves vauls unmaking spell.
Dark magic will probably best compliment a dark elf force so i would stick with that for now and maybe break out lore of metal against armies like dwarves.
Hope this helps a little,
I'd be a little wary of Shadow magic on anything other than a level 4. While it has some good spells, it also has some godawful ones as well.
I've found that metal (albeit using daemons) is a good choice. It's a highly versatile lore, and can really muck up players with war machines. Its principle downside is that Rule of Burning Iron isn't too good vs units with little or no save.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
Thanks for your help. I will try using Lore of Metal in a match and see how it works.
