    converting a dreadlord/noble?

    hellow. new to DE here

i've seen the new dreadlord model with a great weapon, and cant say im impressed! im not fond of the way he is holding the dragons' tale in the other hand, like it was a ..... i dont know.. long story short: i dont like the model and want to convert one myself.

here are the options that i have considered:

    1. executioner champion - sweet model with nice feel, but it kills me that i then will have the same model twice in an army
    2. the black guard champion. A nice model, with a cape, that would need a sdc-make over. might be very difficult though... im not a shark at converting, and scales are tough!
    3. the before-mentioned awful dreadlord, but converted?! maybe removing the dragon (might be very difficult), or resculpt a dragon tale somewhere else, and sculpt another hand, maybe with a knife?

well, those were my ideas. please leave a comment or two if something is on your mind. how would you convert yours?

    thank you very much

You could also start with the plastic High Elf lord/hero kit and use dark elf bits.

As another option you could check out the Avatars of War mini's line they have a great highborn model.

have a look at the dark elf one on this page, looks good especially with the helmet. Never bought anything from the shop tho. It would make a good malekith on foot

I used a HE RBT legs (removed torso) and HE dragon helmet and added them to a SDC corsair cape and torso. The arms were from HE figure or DE figure I can't remember, but you could do something similar. He turned out alright. My noble on dark steed turned out better I think.
