A while ago I picked up the beginnings of what my local game shop told me would be an awesome dark elf army. That guy isnt there anymore, so I thought I'd see about getting some help here.
I'd really like to have an army at about 1500 points, so I can at least learn with a decent sized force, and I'd also like it to be particularly useful against wood elves. That's the army my wife wanted, and so the one I'll be fighting against the most.
So far I've got:
1 Reaper Bolt Thrower
1 Cold One Chariot
16 Dark Elf Warriors with spears, shields, and a full command
16 Dark Elf Warriors with crossbows, and a full command
I'd like to have an assassin, a sorceress, and wytches cause I think they're cool. Any suggestions?
battalion box, hydra whenever money allows; get spearhead if you dont have a army book
Well I have the armybook that came out before the dark-elf revamp, so I wouldn't mind getting the new one. Money isn't a big deal right this minute, so the spearhead would be the better choice than the battalion + some heroes?
spear head gets you all the dreadlord and sorceress you will ever need plus some corsairs and knights, and a hydra--- just get another bolt thrower, the spearhead , and a box of glade riders or 8 dark riders ( just in case)
beef up at will with battalion boxes and whatever heroes you miss from the spearhead

Cool, thanks for the advice.
