I'm considering taking a very special DE-list to a 1900pt-tourney. As characters I would take the following: Sorceress lvl2 (general, dagger, null talisman), Death hag BSB and death hag with cauldron. The BSB would carry Hag gRaef and be in a spearman unit. Yes, you heard it right. The idea is to have the unit charged (because BSB is in it, and is worth many points to opponent) and surprise them with a lot (2 ranks) of ASF attacks. The cauldron with the other hag provides support (extra attack or K. Now the question which will make me reconsider this set-up:
The cauldron makes every Khainite unit within 12" stubborn. So it would make my other death hag stubborn. Will her unit of spearman become stubborn too then? That would be way too cool. I know it might be problematic to keep the hag in the unit because of frenzy, but some good screening might make this work.
Please, my dear specialists and other maniacs, give me your noble commentaries.
I believe that characters who are stubborn give the ability to there unit, and same thing with a unit giving stubborn to a character, so I believe your spearman unit with death hag is stubborn
I thought it was against the rules to put a character without Stubborn in a unit that is?
Edit: Nevermind, was thinking of unbreakable.

Couldn't you just use Black Guard? ITP, Stubborn, ASF, tons of S3 attacks and don't have to worry about Frenzy.
yeah, spearmen are not the unit you want to take to do damage with. even with the bsb w/ hag greaf. it is a waste of the bsb w/ hag greaf imo if you put it in there. if your going to use the points then put the bsb with the magic banenr in a executioner unit. yeah, the black guard could use it too, but one again that would be a waste of some points since BG can already take a magic banner up to 50 pts. worth. There would be no need for a death hag or a BSB. The Exocutioner unit would benefit from that setup more since they use GW's and they would be uber sexy with ASF. Not much of a armour save on them, only 5+ but with the cauldron out you can give them a ward save if you needed to. Since they already have KB that takes away one of the options you could use on them with the Cauldron anyways so by taking Exocutioners it's kinda like being able to use two of the Cauldron buff's on one unit lol.
An Assassin is cheaper and probably a lot better
yeah your basing a lot of points on a "hopefully". The previous guy was right, an assassin is better in that sense and your guaranteed it to be a surprise. I mean, even if it goes the way you'd hope with your spearmen unit and you surprise the enemy (and it's a weak enemy unit) your spearmen still wont do that well. I mean S3/T3 can only do so much. It's just bad points management imho. You can get an assassin buffed up with gifts of khiane for cheaper than your D.Hag/BSB/Standard of Hag Graef. Anyways, if you still think it will be a good idea for you to try your idea then do just that. Try it out in a game and see how well it does.
