    Help with dark riders

Hey, i just got my new 5 Dark Riders which i painted sexy
Ive only played 1 battle with them so far and got a frontal charge but that left the flank open for my black guards with my assasin in it to dominate and the horseys ending up with 2 left.

My question is how is the best way to use them (i know this differs for a different situation) or for someone to elberate how to use them properly or how i could of done better in the situation above so i know the full wrath of the dark riders!

The good thing about Dark riders is the fact they are so diverse
Crossbows are a must! They are used for so many different things so long as they stay fast cavalry (don't give them shields). I would rarely charge them into anything that isn't engaged, and preferably into a flank. They are very good for killing warmachine crew, targets in the open and fleshy units. Also used for getting right upto units (but out of charge arc) to stop the marching. 5 Dark riders can march 18" and fire 24" meaning on the first turn there is nothing they shouldnt be able to shoot thats not absolutely hidden! The situation depends on how to use them, but thats why they are so good! A trully adaptable unit and arguably the best fast cav in the game ^^

Hope that gives you some idea's, there really isn't a "wrong" way to use them, just some ways are more effective than others.
