I see all these "Glade Riders as Dark Riders" substitutions and i got to thinking while staring at the Black Guard Command box today:
Eternal Guard as Black Guard? I know this might shock some people seeing as how popular the real BG models are, but im just not a fan of them. With one box of Eternal Guard and an evil paint job, i think it could work. Of course, ill remove any wood-elfy vines or whatever, possibly make them into snakes instead.
Ideas, Criticisms, Suggestions, and Appalling Oppositions welcome.
If you were my opponent, I'd let you use it on one condition, preferably two:
1) You let me know what they are.
2) You use an alternate paint scheme. Not essential, but definitely something I'd rather see.
If you actually put in some effort into modifying the BG, I'd say go ahead.
I'd say you can use anything you like as long as you play like a gentleman and don't whine and gripe when I beat you.
but really if you paint them up nice, you could use whatever you want.
Im thinking about attaching some pointier blades to the ends of the staves and file off any vines. I also want to get the spiky bits from the Dark Eldar Warriors and use those, maybe on the shoulders, we'll see. Of course ill paint them evil-ly, and definitely ill tell my opponent what they are. I think its going to work pretty well.
