This is the thing, i am having a game with my mate who plays dwarves tomorrow, and am unsure about my army and its full capabilities, as i dont play fantasy as much as him, so he has one clear advantage. One thing i know about his list is that there are 40 quarrelers, some rangers, a cannon and various others. I need to know two things, how good this army is in general and how much its is going to work against him
Here is the list:
Sea dragon cloak
Pendent of Khaeleth
Sword of Might
Sea Dragon Cloak
Sword of battle
16 Dark elf Warriors
10 Repeater Crossbowmen
10 Repeater Crossbowmen
Either Sea Serpent Banner or Banner of Murder
Extra Hand weapon
Dance of Doom
Rune of Khaine
Hand of Khaine
5 Cold one Knights
Standard of Slaughter
Pearl of Infinite Bleakness
1 Cold one Chariot
Total = 1495
I decided against the sorceress, due to him being dwarves, tell me what you think.

You must remove your points values, as they breach board policy - you can include teh summaries but not the breakdowns.
I would actually opt for a sorceress with knife (Iif I knew I was playing Dwarves, I would guarantee to tak e a High Mage..). If I was playing my HE list against Dwarves, I'd take White lions, Reaver Knights, mages galore, some can-openers like sword masters and Dragon Princes and a few combat blocks of spears for SCR...
If its a gunline that he has, your Cold Ones and CHariot are going to be very short-lived. I woudl certainly opt for shades where possible, as these boys are immense at dealing damage to smallmissile units or war mahcine crews (repeaters + great weapons) and Dark Riders who can march and double tap and still be core (I'd pick them in preference to the crossbows as they have a longer effective range due to their march moves, are more manouvreable with free reforms and are S4 on the charge).
Your executioners will probably not make it across teh field - maybe a hydra would be more acceptable? Only X points, tends to distract an opponent as it is very nasty once it gets close up, and tends to be far more of a fire-magnet than its points or actual battlefield performance warrants.

Yea, good stuff, although unfortunately a few days too short, i was massacred. Tbh this guy barely ever loses a game and im a bit of a fantasy noob. The Dark riders i am about to get, as i would have included them but didnt have them...
I used the Cold one stuff as shock attack units really, even though i didnt have a chariot by the shooting phase of his first turn....
I play fantasy a bit too much like 40K, so thats another problem, but i will take these into account when i continue with my D-elves (maybe more sorceresses.....)
