    Miscasts and Focus Familiar

Say if you use Focus Familiar out of a unit that your sorceress is in who has it and she miscasts which does dmg to all things near her, could u use the rings positioning for this or no?

Id say that for the purpose of miscasts the Familiar probably has no effects, the sorceress is still casting the spell and therefore suffer the effects of any miscast. I dont have the DE FAQ on me right now, dunno if they mention anything about it in there.

No. The familiar is only used for range and line of sight of the spells she casts. Everything else is applied on the sorceress or her location.

(which includes things like the Ring of Hotek)
