Well i have played maybe 3 games total wiht my cult of slaanesh list and had some fairly good results, but some of there usnits i cant seem to get the hang of using them right, namely the devotees of slaanesh. I mean when you look at them they have ws higher than anything (taking account sopirific musk) except a bloodthirster or soemthing else massizly expensive, and there initiative is also higher than anyones, and each person gets 3 attacks, so what you get is 3 attacks hitting on 3+ usually. Now this seems great but then when i tried to kill someone with them (a smallish unit of chaos warriors) they got slaughtered when i almost outnumbered 2 to 1, mainly becuase there str 3 can barely kill anything big, and they have no armour so they get mowed down by the weakest of shooting, and they have a very high point cost, being 3 points less than an unarmed chaos warrior. So what are they good for and how should i use them?
Back from a long adventure.
Well what are you fighting against if strength 3 doesn't cut it? they should scythe through most infantry, i've seen mine do it
They are still Elves if your expecting them to go one on one with Chaos Warriors no wonder they die
Some Marauders make a good attack partners for the Devotees to give them that extra bit of muscle at a low cost.
“Someone I know calls a Sphinx a Sphincter I really don’t have the heart to correct them
“So you want to be made feel like a small boy and dominated do you? How about you dress up as Micky Mouse and I‘ll hit you with a baseball bat until you pass out or die?
Devotees are good against mutiple low ws, low armour troops. (think undead or skaven) as they rarly get hit back and carve through the enemy with ease.
