Well, title says it all really. Is it worth mounting your sorceress on a dark peggie these days? They get the pendant save of course for the whole model, but with TLOS, I'm not entirely convinced that's a boon
I still just keep them on foot especially becuase I play against Empire and Scaven a lot.
Since I have the model, I am about to try out a 2K list putting a Supreme Sorc on the Cold One in a knight unit. Having a BSB pretty much makes the Stupidity test non issue now.
Except you need to keep the BSB near, not to mention if you lose the banner somehow. Meh, I still end up rolling stupid often enough the reroll isn't going to make me suddenly want to make my 300 point character to be stupid.
As for the OP: Its still viable, especially if you want to use a close range lore like death (or some of the dark magic spells). Its not that easy to kill, especially if you hide behind soft cover you can still see through, or behind units (for hard cover bonus) The units that don't worry about cover, are high S, so the ward save helps quite a bit here. So I would say keep running it. It is still good, though not as dominating as it once was.
Gonna have to give it a try before making up my mind I guess
Big no from me, Pendant is good and all, but a unit of bowmen have a better chance at taking her out than a cannon.

Imperial Guard 5000pts
I'd say yes. I have to deal with a LOT of heavy armor in my metagame--Chaos Warriors, Lizardmen, Dwarves and Empire Knights out the wazoo. Since Dark Elf units have trouble negating armor I usually bring the Lore of Metal to do the job. This means I really need that sorc to be everywhere she's needed, and therefore on a Pegasus. I'm not too worried about archers--most of them won't have range if their armored troops are in the vanguard and skirmishers aren't what they used to be.

Sorcers mounted on cold = stupid
add to a unit of cold ones still = stupid
Add malus Dark blade to said unit = no longer stupid and much much harder
