I have a question concerning the lore of shadow attribute and how that would play with the Focus Familiar item. As you have to place the familiar at the beginning of the phase, if you then switch positions with another character (because you successfully cast a shadow spell), does the familiar go with the sorceress or does it stay where it was originally positioned or does it have no affect at all?
I'd guess it would stay where you place it.
I remember having problems with the Lore of Shadow attribute.....my Sorceress was on a Dark Pegasus, Dreadlord on a Chariot and BSB on foot.
If that is in fact the case, then would it be safe to presume that the sorceress could then still use the familiar from her new position? It seems unlikely, I just thought that I'd throw it out there...
Well, taking "RAR" into account, the Familiar is placed within 6" of the Sorceress and remains there for the remainder of the phase. There is nothing there saying the Sorceress has to remain within 6" of the Familiar, therefore I'm under the assumption she can still use the Familiar as a conduit for her magic, even if she teleports to the other side of the board using "Smoke and Mirrors".
Use it until they nerf it.
