Ok, just wanted to clarify something here
Since Kouran of the black guard is unbreakable, only unbreakable chracters would be able to join that unit... so yeah, not even Malekith can join his own bodyguard if Kouran is there. o.0
However, since assassins can just join units of Dark elf infantary... does this mean the assassin can come into Kouran's unit or not?
Just something I want to check
Yeah, Malekith not getting to join a unit led by Kouran is annoying and unfluffy, it used to be my 1000pt Deathstar in 2000pts in 7th ed.
Sadly it's a no. As Kouran is a unit champion he comes as part of the unit and therefore makes the unit Unbreakable, so non-Unbreakable characters can't join the unit (including Assassins)
If only Kouran was a Hero/Lord choice and not a champion then he would be an Unbreakable character in a non-Unbreakable unit which would mean other non-Unbreakable characters could join the non-Unbreakable unit.
"Take their gold, burn their homes, kill their familes and enslave their souls. Show them no mercy...oh and could you post these letters while you're out?"
-Malekith, Witch King of Naggaroth.
I remember they used to be Lords............Kouran had a sword with +1 to hit and a 1+ Armour and made Black Guard Special choices (they used to be Rare and 0-1, Malekith made them no longer 0-1, and they had no unit cap), Tullaris had the Executioner's Axe, a 4+ Ward and could Killing Blow everything except Swarms (Yes, Executioner's Axe, striking first on charge, with HKB). Those were the days....when Special Characters used to be on the GW website....
