Hi guys just wondering if ye could help, I have just started and dont have any dark elves as such yet but this is the 1500 pt army I hope to build at first but its a little over. Just wondering does anyone have any advice and critism on the army and help me shave pts to get 1500 or less or any subtitutions on this, as this is only a base to build on and can easily be changed,
Just to point out, for copyright reasons you can't post points costs for units without upgrades, (eg Hydras, Bolt Throwers etc).
In 7th Edition an army like this would work relatively OK. In 8th Edition you'll struggle. Warrior units ideally need to be 25+ in size, whereas Corsairs, Witch Elves and Black Guard need to be at least 20 in size (Black Guard have a max size of 20 sadly). Reaper Bolt Throwers are good too, but you really do need at least 2 to be effective (My theory is 2-3 1500pts, 2-4 2000pts+, 4+ 3000pts+. But that's really because I have good luck with them). The Crossbowmen are pretty much at the perfect size.
If you want to run the army as it is (and that's fine, it's your call at the end of the day) to shave the points I'd either drop 1 Assassin and give the other one an additional hand weapon, Rune of Khaine and Touch of Death or drop a Knight.
Alternatively you could drop 1-2 of the 10 man units and bump up the other units.

I've never been a fan of Witch Elves, or Black Guard in the lower points games, as Ravenblade side, you really need them in bigger blocks, they are SERIOUS arrow magnets and although they won't flee, you'll lose too many on the run up.
Again, more Corsairs are fantastic, give them the Sea Serpent Banner and AHW, and you can rip things to shreds.
I'd also lose an Assassin, they are amazing, but two are a bit overkill in 1500points.
