    Crossbows

Just wondering about the rules for these weapons.

    Can they move and fire?
    Strength 4?

    Cheers

They're repeater crossbows, not ordinary Crossbows.

Repeaters should have a section in the army book, but if my memory serves me well, you can move and fire with them (although only half distance I think... I'm dead rusty on the rules but that's something that I just can't get rid of for some reason), they have 2 shots, and you can either fire one shot, or 2 (at a -1 to your to hit value) and it's Str 3 24' range.

Normal crossbows are move or fire, but DE don't carry 'em, and yeah they're Str 4

    Hope that helps.

Page 44 of the army book, 24' range, multi shot, S3...not S4 for dark elves...and yes, armor piercing.

Yes they can move AND fire (full 24") range, they just shift +1 to the dice roll for moving, +1 for over 12", +1 for multi shot. Meaning, if you MOVE and shoot over 12" you're hitting on 6's with multi shot.

Now if you're asking actual Crossbows, that's a rulebook thing. Page 90, 30" range, S4, move or fire. Dark elves do NOT have these.
