Yes, if I have Khanite units
So I'm making a 2800 point list, and keep getting stomped. Mainly because I just don't have the CC units other armies seem to slap me with.
The main question I'm looking at is, do you think the cauldron of blood is worth it? At 200+ points it doesn't seem cost effective for a 5+ ward save, etc? Maybe with the 20 blackguard I have it's nice. Just torn. I'm thinking about dropping it to add a bolt thrower, or a 3rd block of troops.
Basically I just want to know what people feel about the Cauldron of blood?

I always take the Cauldron in my Khainite army, and usually if I take it there's a Khainite unit...although I tend to rotate my lists/units so it's been played without Khainite units nearby.
For me, it's never been ineffective. A 5+ ward may seem crap, but it's saved my troops more often than not.

You should know by now that I never use a COB, nor have I ever used one
I like it. One useful buff per turn, chosen for the current situation, with no chance of being dispelled? Yes, please! (My list is based around blocks of 24 crossbowmen.)
Using a CoB for defensive buffs also lets me feel better about redlining my offensive magic. I don't lose everything when Miss Demigod's brainpan explodes for the last time. (I rely on offensive magic to reduce enemies enough for my blocks to clean up.)

well i run 2 COB so yes i think they are worth it you just have to use them correctly
