The idea is that I have a few hard hitting speedy units, with some Dark Riders to annoy the opponant, stopping there march moves, taking off ranks with x-bows and escorting the Sorceress. Then I have the infantry to build up some numbers and hopefully tie up some hard units.

The list is all over the place though. You have only 1 block of ranked out infantry,and yet you dont have many fast elements either to be honest. Just the cold ones and dark riders. Drop the chariot for more dark riders,it has no place in this army,since its the slowest thing the DE's have(you cant march w/ it you know).

Yes then it would be an awsome list. 2 infantry blocks backed up by a flanker for each of them(the best flankers in the game too),in turn backed up by the hard hitting power of CoK. I think it would do great,also change the chariot for dark riders.

I'd prefer to see 2 block of spears as well, that would be a much more solid 1,000 pt list.

If you do drop the chariot, grab another unit of dark riders as said above, but iof you keep it, consider putting your lord in the chariot? You'd save points on the cold one he's currently on and you can also put a seal of ghrond on him to bump up your dispelling ability.

Another option if you drop the chariot is to bump up your spearmen to units of 20 and it might also allow you to add a darkstar cloak to your sorceress too.

Ok I'll use two blocks of spearmen, but I want to keep the chariot because I like the modal. And since I've already got my Noble on a Cold One i'll keep him on one . Plus i'm not a fan of putting characters in chariots. My friend does it and he is lucky if he makes it into combat.

Edit: is it really true chariots cant march? If so it seems a bit unrealistic

It's quite effective for negating ranks, the only time I'd recommend not doing it is against armies with cannons and lots of ranged shooting. Otherwise it's just plain nasty! This also gives you another fear causing option to flank charge anything engaged with your spearmen too (2 fronts you can do this on simultaneously with your second block of spears and Cold One knights).

And unfortunately, yes it is true, chariots cannot march , but charge at double their movement as normal.

I personnaly feel that:
1. Instead of having two blocks of spearmen, have 1 block of spearmen and one of corsaires because they are awesome>
2. Take the sorceress off the steed and hide her in an infantry unit.
3. Other than that your Okay so try it out. (Y)

The only problem with a foot mounted sorceress is that Dark Magic tends to be short ranged, and getting close is going to be harder. Also Soul Stealer will be useless if i roll it. On a steed she can get around and use these spells wherever she pleases. I would love to use corsairs but at the moment I can afford to buy them :glare: but I will try them out when i can.
