Well, the assassin can only have 50pts of wargear, so you can't spend all 80pts (unless you have agreed to do so with you friend). I have heard that Manbane and Chillblade work....But I would just check the other thread titles "Assasin" (I think...) as there are some ideas in there.
....He is coming for YOU....

I dont think that an Assassin is allowed to put poison on a magical weapon Master_Bungle. I dont have the rules here now so i cant be sure though.Originally Posted by Master_Bungle
Personally i like my assassin to have this combo: 2 hand weapons, Manbane (only good against guys with T4 or more - depending on opponent) and the Rune of Khaine. This Assassin will cost 179pts and is pretty likly to mince most other hero level characters seeing as he has M6 and I10 so he'll almost always strike first. then the 5 attacks and Manbane kick in and ur assassin can add another dash to his "killed heroes" tally.
do you think assassin is most suitable for a mainly hero battle? i just thought it would be a fun unit to play with
I think the Assassin could be a very fun way to play ur hero battles. Hes a bit of a wild card so there will always be that sense of adventure when he is used, which will make for funner games. He is not an invinsible guy (no one is, but especially an assassin) so ur opponent wont shout "cheese" cos as soon as ur opponent attacks (if he gets the chance) theres a huge possibility that the assassin will die. But dont let that put u off. If you want a more 'staying' hard to kill hero, go for a Noble with full armour, a cold one and a magic sword etc. But personally, I'd take the risk and take the assassin cos i'd prefer having a short but very interesting game then one which would be otherwise.
